The short version. Every call to (252) 675-4098 where you talk with Tamesha from Sept. 24 through noon on Nov. 1, 2026 is one entry, and every call counts. You can also enter free by mail. On Nov. 1, 2026, after entries close, one winner is drawn at random for a $250 Visa gift card and a Friday night at The Golf Place (total value $400). NC residents 18+. No purchase necessary. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or payment will not improve your chances of winning. Void where prohibited.
1. Sponsor
StrategixAI LLC (the “Sponsor”), which runs New Bern Insider. Address: 3920 Dr MLK Blvd, New Bern, NC 28562. Email: discover@strategixagents.com. The Golf Place LLC in New Bern (“The Golf Place”), which is affiliated with the Sponsor, provides the reservation part of the prize.
2. Who can enter
Legal residents of North Carolina who are 18 or older when they enter. Owners, employees and contractors of the Sponsor and of The Golf Place, anyone who helps run this giveaway, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children and siblings) and household members can't win.
3. When
The giveaway starts Sept. 24, 2026 at 12:00 AM Eastern Time and ends Nov. 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM (noon) Eastern Time (the “Entry Period”). The Sponsor's call records are the official clock.
4. How to enter
There are two free ways to enter. Both have the same chance of winning.
By phone. Call (252) 675-4098 during the Entry Period and talk with Tamesha, New Bern Insider's AI operator. Ask her for something you need in New Bern, or ask her to connect you with a local business.
- Every call counts. A call is one entry when it reaches Tamesha and you speak with her (say at least one thing to her). There's no limit on the number of calls.
- Entries belong to the phone number you call from. The entrant is the person who made the call; if there's a dispute, the entrant is the authorized account holder of that number.
- These calls aren't entries: calls from blocked, private or restricted numbers (we couldn't reach you if you won); calls that end before you speak with Tamesha; calls that get a busy or “unavailable” message instead of Tamesha; and calls made by automated dialers, scripts, recordings or AI voice programs.
- Every call is recorded and transcribed. A notice at the start of each call says so.
- We never charge for calls. Your phone carrier's usual rates may apply.
By mail. Mail a postcard with your full name, age, mailing address and phone number to: Call Tamesha Giveaway, New Bern Insider, 3920 Dr MLK Blvd, New Bern, NC 28562. Each postcard is one entry. Mail each postcard separately; there's no limit. Postcards must be received by Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, the last mail delivery day before entries close. Illegible, incomplete or mass-produced entries aren't accepted.
To keep it fair, the Sponsor may void entries from, and disqualify, anyone who tampers with the giveaway, uses automated or fake calls or entries, pretends to be someone else, or makes calls meant to tie up the line so other people can't get through.
5. The prize
One prize will be awarded. The winner gets:
- a $250 Visa gift card (approximate retail value $250), and
- a Friday-night, 4-hour private reservation at The Golf Place in New Bern for up to 8 people (approximate retail value $150).
Total approximate retail value: $400. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
The reservation is booked with The Golf Place, depends on availability, and must be used by Dec. 31, 2026. If no Friday night is open before then, the Sponsor will extend that date so the winner can still use it. Food, drinks and anything else not listed here aren't included. Guests follow The Golf Place's normal house rules, which apply to everyone. The gift card follows its issuer's terms. The prize can't be exchanged for cash or transferred, but the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The winner is responsible for any taxes.
6. Drawing
On Nov. 1, 2026, after entries close at noon, the Sponsor will pick one potential winner at random from all eligible phone and mail entries, using a random-number method, and keep a record of the drawing. Each eligible entry is one chance. The Sponsor's decisions are final.
7. How the winner is told
Starting Nov. 1, 2026, a New Bern Insider staff member will contact the potential winner by phone call or text, between 9 AM and 8 PM Eastern Time. Phone entrants are contacted at the number they called from, and mail-in entrants at the phone number on their postcard. The staff member will say they're from New Bern Insider and give a staff number to call back. If the winner agrees, Tamesha, our AI operator, may then join the call.
To claim, reply to our text, call the staff number we give you, or email discover@strategixagents.com with “Giveaway” in the subject. Tamesha, who answers (252) 675-4098, can't take prize claims. The potential winner must reply within 5 days and confirm that they're 18 or older and a North Carolina resident, for example by showing a photo ID. There's nothing to buy and no fee to pay. Once eligibility is confirmed, the prize (the gift card and a reservation certificate) is delivered within 10 days of the first contact, at no cost to the winner. If the potential winner can't be reached, doesn't reply in time or isn't eligible, the prize is forfeited and another winner is drawn at random from the remaining eligible entries.
By entering, you agree that New Bern Insider may call or text you at that number about this giveaway only, never for marketing. You can tell us to stop at any time.
8. Calls and your information
Calls to (252) 675-4098 are answered by Tamesha, an AI operator, and every call is recorded and transcribed. Information from entries is used to run the giveaway and the New Bern Insider service, as described in our privacy notice.
9. Publicity
Only if the winner agrees, the Sponsor may post the winner's first name and town on social media or its website. Agreeing is not required to get the prize. The winner's first name and town will still be given to anyone who asks (see section 12).
10. Releases and limits
By entering, you release the Sponsor, The Golf Place, and their owners, employees and agents from claims arising from the giveaway or the prize, except where the law doesn't allow it. They aren't responsible for dropped or missed calls, phone or computer problems, mistakes by the AI operator, or lost, late or misdirected mail. Tamesha can't confirm entries or tell anyone they won; only the drawing and the notice in section 7 decide who wins.
This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, Meta or TikTok. Entrants fully release and hold harmless Instagram, Facebook, Meta and TikTok from any liability. New Bern Insider is not affiliated with the City of New Bern.
11. General
The Sponsor may cancel, change or pause the giveaway if fraud, a technical failure or anything else outside its control affects its fairness. If that happens, the winner may be drawn from eligible entries received before the problem. These rules are governed by North Carolina law, and any dispute will be handled in the state courts of Craven County, North Carolina.
